Common Issues & Fixes

Most problems can be resolved with these quick steps.

Authentication

"QuickBooks disconnected" error

Your QuickBooks connection token has expired or was revoked.

Fix: Open the SheetsSync sidebar in Google Sheets, click "Disconnect", then reconnect your QuickBooks account. This refreshes your authentication tokens.
Sync

Sync is not pulling new data

Scheduled sync may be paused or the sheet configuration may be stale.

Fix: Run a manual sync first. If data appears, re-enable auto-sync from the sidebar settings. Also check that the correct entity type is selected for your sheet.
Sync

Missing columns or fields

Some QuickBooks fields may not appear in your sheet after sync.

Fix: SheetsSync writes the columns that QuickBooks returns. Custom fields may require QuickBooks Plus or Advanced. Try a fresh sync to a new sheet to see all available columns.
Authentication

"Authorization failed" on connect

The OAuth flow didn't complete successfully.

Fix: Make sure pop-ups are allowed for the add-on. Try using Chrome in a normal (non-incognito) window. If the issue persists, clear your browser cache and try again.
Billing

Pro features not activating

You subscribed but Pro features aren't available yet.

Fix: Close and reopen the SheetsSync sidebar. If features still don't appear, sign out and sign back in. Your subscription status may take a minute to propagate.
General

Add-on not loading in sidebar

The SheetsSync sidebar shows a blank panel or spinner.

Fix: Refresh the Google Sheets page. If still blank, go to Extensions > Manage Add-ons and make sure SheetsSync is enabled for this document.

Open any Google Sheet, go to Extensions > Add-ons > Get add-ons, and search for "SheetsSync". Click Install, authorize the permissions, and you're ready to connect your QuickBooks account from the sidebar.
SheetsSync works with all QuickBooks Online plans: Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. It also supports QuickBooks sandbox environments for developers and testing.
SheetsSync supports 9 QuickBooks entity types: Invoices, Customers, Vendors, Items, Bills, Payments, Estimates, Purchase Orders, and Credit Memos. Each entity syncs to its own sheet with all available fields.
With Pro, you can edit data directly in Google Sheets and push changes back to QuickBooks. Modified rows are detected automatically. You can update individual records or push changes in bulk. Two-way sync supports Customers, Vendors, Invoices, Bills, and Items.
You can cancel anytime from the SheetsSync sidebar under the billing section. Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. No data is deleted when you cancel. You can also email support@getsheetssync.com and we'll handle it for you.
Yes. SheetsSync uses OAuth 2.0 authentication — the same standard used by banks. We never see or store your QuickBooks password. Data is transferred via TLS 1.3 encryption and processed in-memory only. We never store your financial data on our servers. See our Security & Compliance page for details.
You can disconnect your QuickBooks account from the add-on sidebar, which immediately deletes your OAuth tokens and connection data. For complete account deletion, email support@getsheetssync.com. See our Opt-Out page for detailed instructions.
